Welcome to Spaces ("Spaces," "we," "us," or "our"). We deeply value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using Spaces, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Requirements

Spaces requires iOS version 13 or above to function optimally.

Information We Collect

1. Account Information

While Spaces can be used without creating an account, to securely save and restore your progress, you can optionally register with an email address and a password. When you create an account, we collect and store your email and encrypted password.

2. User Content

Spaces allows users to upload photos and write text visible to all other users. Any content you share within the App is considered public and will be accessible by other users. All user-uploaded content (photos and text) is stored exclusively on Firebase's servers.

3. Virtual Currency and Transactions

Spaces includes a virtual currency system called "coins" that enables in-app transactions between users. We collect and store information related to your coin balance and transaction history, including:

• Your current coin balance
• Transaction records when you buy or sell widgets with other users
• Widget ownership and transfer history
• Pricing information for widgets you list for sale

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Coins are completely fake, virtual currency with absolutely no real-world monetary value whatsoever. Coins exist ONLY within the Spaces app and have no value outside of the application. Under no circumstances should coins be exchanged for real money, and real money should never be used to purchase coins. Any real-world monetary exchanges related to in-app coins are strictly prohibited and not supported by Spaces.

NO GUARANTEES: We provide no guarantees regarding the accuracy, retention, or preservation of your coin balance or transaction history. Coin balances may be lost, reset, or become inaccurate due to technical issues, updates, or other factors. You should have no expectations that your in-app currency will be maintained, preserved, or accurately tracked at all times.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use Spaces, including:

• Device information (device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
• Usage data (interaction with app features, frequency of use)

• Provide, maintain, and enhance our services and the user experience.
• Facilitate account creation and log-in processes.
• Allow users to recover or transfer their app data between devices.
• Process and record virtual currency transactions between users, including widget purchases and sales.

• Enable the marketplace functionality for widget trading between users.

User Reports and Moderation

When you use the in-app reporting feature to report another user for inappropriate behavior, we collect the username you report, your own user ID (if applicable), and the content or reason associated with the report. This information is used solely to:

• Investigate and respond to community guideline violations.
• Maintain the safety and integrity of the Spaces community.
• Take appropriate moderation actions, which may include warnings, content removal, or account suspension.
• All reports are reviewed manually. Report-related data is stored securely and only accessible to authorized moderation staff. It will not be shared publicly or with other users unless required by law.

Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information under the following circumstances:

1. Publicly Shared Content

Content (photos, text) that you upload within Spaces is visible to all users. Additionally, widget ownership, sale listings, and transaction history may be visible to other users as part of the marketplace functionality. Please exercise caution when posting personal or sensitive information.

2. Legal Compliance

We may disclose your personal data if required by law or legal processes, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

3. Firebase (Third-party Service)

Spaces utilizes Google's Firebase platform exclusively for hosting, analytics, and authentication services. Firebase may collect and use data according to Google's Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

User Responsibilities and Community Guidelines

• You agree not to post inappropriate, offensive, abusive, or illegal content. Users violating these guidelines may be banned, and their access to Spaces restricted or terminated.
• Every photo and text submitted is manually reviewed to ensure compliance with our community standards.
• You acknowledge and understand that coins are completely fake, virtual currency with absolutely no real-world value and agree to use the marketplace functionality responsibly and in good faith.
• You expressly agree NOT to engage in any real-world monetary exchanges related to in-app coins under any circumstances.
• You understand and accept that coin balances and transaction records may be inaccurate, lost, or reset at any time without notice or compensation.
• Any attempts to manipulate the virtual economy, engage in fraudulent transactions, or facilitate real-money trading of virtual coins may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Security

We employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. While we attempt to maintain transaction data and coin balances for the duration of your account to ensure marketplace functionality, we provide no guarantees regarding the persistence, accuracy, or integrity of virtual currency data. Coin balances and transaction histories may be lost, corrupted, reset, or become inaccurate at any time due to technical issues, software updates, server problems, or other factors beyond our control. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal information promptly, subject to legal obligations or enforcement actions.
